If you already have subbasins delineated for your model in a shapefile you can choose to import these to WHIST. You can choose to import with already given routing information or generate the routing from a topography database of your choice (but still following the WHIST requirements). When the data has been imported you can treat them in the same way as if they had been created in WHIST from start.

The shapefile imported must have the same coordinate system as the WHIST database (i.e. the topograpy data, DEM, DIR, ACC/UPA) you want to use, i.e. your first decision is to prepare the topography data and check that it is accepted in WHIST.

If you did NOT have any routing described it should have been set during the import. If this is not the case, select all subbasin and use the tool under HYDRO /Edit 2/Autolink. Two new windows will appear but you just need one of them.
