Add day of year (doy) statistics based bias adjustment
Many bias adjustment methods are based on the so-called day of year statistics. In a nutshell, that means to look at all events in the neighborhood of a certain day of the year over the entire reference period (for example, the thirty days centered on the 23rd of June for all years between 1980 and 2010) and calculate bias correction based on the comparison of statistics of these events for reference and model data.
A general framework for these methods will allow the rapid testing and addition of new statistics based methods.
