On data types for coordinate variable and its bounds

It seems confusing that a coordinate variable and its bounds ends up having different data types. See yearand year_bnds in /nobackup/smhid17/proj/sik/SMHI-TADAA/index/tmm_NORDIC-3_SMHI-UERRA-Harmonie_RegRean_v1_Gridpp_v0.9_day_yr_19610101-20181231.nc

While I am not sure that this not allowed, it seems reasonable (and prudent) to have them casted to the same data type.
